THE EXPERIMENTAL COMPARATIVE STUDIES ON THE EFFECTS OF BANHASASIMTANG, SAENGKANGSASIMTANG, GAMCHOSASIMTANG AND BANHASASIMTANG INSURANCE MEDICINE

Abstract
|
|
|
Banhasasimtang, Saengkangsasiimtang and Gam-c :hosasimtang have been widely used in diseases of digestive system, which were based on the Oriental Medicinal References. In order to investigate the clinical effects of four prescriptions and to compare respecl ive effecacy, the experimental works were carried out , vith mice, rats and rabbits.
The following results have been obtained;
1) All of groups showed sedative effects by the rotor a od method in mice and among them Saengkangasimtang showed the most effective efficacy 30 minutes : (fter administration. But Saengkangsasimtang and 1anhasasimtang insurance medicine showed efficacy 60 minutes after adiminstration on.
2) Anticathartic action in Mice was recognized in all if them.
3) In the experiment to see the inhibitory effects on 1 he secretion of gastric juice in rats, gamchosasimtang was the most effective, saengkangsasimtang and Banhasasimtang insurance medicine were next, and Banhasasimtang did not show any inhibitory effect.
4) All of them did not show any influence on gastric uice pH in rats.
5) All of them showed remarkable inhibitory effects on the gastric acidity in the pylorus-ligated rats.
Especially Saeng kang sasimtang showed the most inhibitory effect, Gamchosasimtaing was the second, :.nd Banhasasimtang and its insurance midicine were the least.
6) Wereas an effective anti-ulceration on the ethanolizduced gastric ulcers in rats was found in Gam-(. hosasimtang and Banhasasimtang insurance medicine, t hat action was not found in the other two prescriptions.
7) Spontaneous contraction in the isolated jejunum of l:abbits was found in all of them.
Especially, that movement was significant in Saengkangsasimtang.
according to the above experimental results, it can be concluded that the efficacy of references and clinical applications are approximate, Banhasasimtang, Saengkangsasimtang and Gamchosasimtang are very effective on many gastronitestinal diseases and Banhasasimtang insurance medicine is believed to be effective as well in clinical application.
